Explore Our Updated Clinical Trials Resources
Pancreatic cancer patients who participate in clinical research have better outcomes. Every treatment available today was approved through a clinical trial. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network strongly recommends clinical trials at diagnosis and during every treatment decision.
January is National Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials Awareness Month (NPCCTAM). Our goals for January are to:
1. Heighten awareness about the importance of clinical trials – in the fight against pancreatic cancer, clinical trials often provide the best treatment options
2. Convey the urgency for increased clinical trial enrollment rates – the only way to develop new and better treatments for pancreatic cancer is through clinical trials and that can’t happen without patient participation
3. Educate patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals about our clinical trials resources – we provide free educational materials and maintain the most comprehensive and up-to-date database of pancreatic cancer clinical trials in the United States
We’re working hard on getting the NPCCTAM campaign ready and will need your help in January! Specific details and tools will be available later in December.
In the meantime, check out the new clinical trials video and webpage. There are new social media “share” features at the bottom of the page so you can help spread the word to those who may benefit from clinical trials information.
More information to come soon! Stay tuned…
